This Fisherman Will Change The Way You See Work (Tales of Wisdom #28)
Arich businessman was on vacation in India. One morning, on the coast, he saw a fisherman’s boat on its way home.
“Oh dear,” he shouted. “Was the fishing good?” The fisherman smiled at him and showed him some fish lying on the floor of his boat:
- “Yes, it’s a good catch!”
- “It’s still early. I suppose you’re going back.”
- “Go back?” asked the fisherman. “But what for?”
- “Because then you will have more” replied the businessman, to whom it seemed obvious.
- “But what for? I don’t need it!”
- “When you have more, you’ll sell them!”
- “But for what purpose?”
- “You’ll have more money.“
- ”But what for?”
- “You’ll be able to change your old boat for a nice little one.”
- “But what for?”
- “Well, with your new boat, you’ll be able to get more fish.”
- “But what for?”
- “Well, you can take on workers.”
- “But what for?”
- “They’ll fish for you.”
- “But what for?”
- “You’ll get rich.”
- “But what for?”
- “You’ll be able to rest.“
The fisherman looked at him with a big smile:
- “That’s exactly what I’m going to do right now.”
